COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT

Southern Districts Rugby Club is excited to announce the appointment of Scott Fava as the club's new Head Coach.

This follows an extensive and rigorous selection process conducted by a highly experienced rugby panel. 

The decision complements the club's long term Strategic Plan, and aligns with our continued aim of driving the club to succeed on and off the field.

Scott brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our coaching team. 

As a former Southern Districts Rebel and Wallaby with a distinguished playing career, and a proven track record as a coach in the Shute Shield and beyond, Scott’s leadership and vision will be invaluable in shaping the future of our club. 

His coaching philosophy - focused on player and coach development, teamwork, and a drive to support and promote the club's cultural traditions - will ensure that we continue to build on the foundations forged in 2024.

We are equally thrilled to announce the re-signing of George Gargoulakis as Scott's Lead Assistant Coach and Club Program Coordinator. 

George has lead our recent Colts program growth and success, and his continued involvement will provide the stability, cohesion, and continuity that are essential to our entire rugby program.

Scott will spearhead a coaching team that is committed to excellence and dedicated to fostering the development of our players and coaches at all levels. 

The full coaching team will be announced shortly, so stay tuned for more exciting updates as we embark on this new chapter under Scott and George.

We are excited that the 3 year plan we've put together under this new leadership is the beginning of a sustained period of success for the club at all levels.
