Southern Districts Rugby Club is passionate and dedicated to producing quality grassroots rugby with the facilities to provide our players with the necessary skills and integrity that will enable them to represent at higher honours. We Have Some History.

Formed in 1989, Southern Districts is the amalgamation of St. George (established 1902) and Port Hacking Rugby Club (established 1962), based at Forshaw Park, Sylvania Waters. The club affectionately known as “The Rebels”, play in red, sky blue, white and black jerseys.

Since 1989, Southern Districts has produced 14 Wallabies and countless representatives for Super Rugby, Australian Schools, Australian U20’s and Australian 7s. In recent years, the club has enjoyed the benefits of a successful development program, including:

• 2011, SDRC 2nd grade win Colin Caird Shield defeating Eastwood 24 to 16

• 2012, SDRC 1st grade lose Shute Shield Grand Final by 1 to Sydney University

• 2014, SDRC 1st grade make Shute Shield Grand Final for 2nd time in 3 years

• 2015, 5 of 7 SDRC teams qualify for semi finals.

• 2016, 1st grade major semifinalist, 2nd in Minor Premiership

• 2016, 4 of 7 SDRC teams qualify for final series including 1st

• 2017, 4 of 7 SDRC teams qualify for final series including 1st and 2nd ,1st finish 2nd in Minor Premiership

• 2018 Sydney Women’s Rugby Union 7s Runners-Up

• 2019 Sydney Women’s Rugby Union 7s Champions
